Sales of private homes by developers in Singapore rose 43 percent in June from a year earlier, government data released on Friday showed.
Nationally home sales fell 0.9% from May to June in Canada while prices were up 11.2% year on year, according to the latest index data.
It means that monthly falls in sales activity has left transactions down 2.6% below the record set in April 2016, the home index from the Canadian Real Estate Association of Canada (CREA) also shows.
There is also considerable price differences depending on location. For example if Greater Toronto and Greater Vancouver are left out of the equation prices are up 8.4% year on year.
Five regions in New Zealand saw median sales prices hit a new record high but overall the median price nationals fell by 1% in June, the latest real estate index shows.
The median sales price now stands at $500,000 with the Waikato/Bay of Plenty region recorded its fifth record median sale price for 2016, reaching $438,000, while the median price in Auckland reaching $821,000.
The data from the Real Estate Institute of New Zealand (REINZ) also shows that Northland recorded a new record median of $360,000, while Otago reached $295,000 and Central Otago Lakes hit $730,050.
Homes that were foreclosed during the housing crisis in the United States have gained almost twice as much value as other homes, according to a new analysis.
But the original owners of those homes have not benefited from that recovery as low end homes were much more likely to be foreclosed, the report from real estate firm Zillow shows.
